Clear Care offer choice and independence.
Clear Care was established after reflecting on my own family circumstances combined with my experience of working in the social care sector.
With parents and parents-in-law in their eighties I have become increasingly concerned about their ongoing health and wellbeing and how their needs will be met should they be ill and lose some of their independence. They are proud home owners and without doubt will want to stay in their own home having lived in the same house for nearly sixty years. Like a lot of people in this situation I no longer live local to my parents and with work and other commitments this presents me with many dilemmas.
It will therefore be a difficult choice to make if they have need of additional support. I know that I will want to ensure that any care is of the highest quality, treats them with dignity and respect and most importantly remembers that old age does not diminish the person. For this reason I want to provide care services for older people that I would feel assured to use for my own parents.
In addition, my direct experience of the many models of care services for both older people and adults with learning disabilities, physical disabilities and mental health problems has left the impression that there are still people who do not have the level of choice and control that most of us have over our lives. For this reason I want to encourage and support people to choose how their care and support needs are met and live independently in their own home and local community.
